Complimenting the Outer Space Series, the colors and textures of our world are irresistible to me. In fact, they permeate all my work, making it difficult, sometimes, to divide it into different categories. This group, perhaps, most clearly encompasses some of my views of Earth’s land and globe. A Piece of Pennsylvania reflects my joy in the beauties of Chester County, our home of, now, some ten years. Southern to the Core was inspired by my husband, Lindsay, who moved North with me from his birthplace, Richmond, Virginia. (For my Eclipse Teapot, portraying the earth and sun in eclipse, please see the Outer Space Series.)
